Faculty of Humanities and Letters was established in 2001 when the “High Educational and Law School of the Seminarians” was promoted to the status of the University of Qom. Currently, the faculty includes six departments. It is committed to sustaining critical intellectual enquiry and makes a significant contribution to developing Iran’s human resource capacity by educating students with excellent qualifications in languages and literatures, education, information and sports sciences. All the departments offer BA and MA programs. Department of Persian Language and Literature has a PhD program, too. The faculty has 59 members of staff.
